About the game

A cyberpunk clicker where you manage an underground team of netrunners: extract data, automate hacking, and upgrade equipment. Balance profit and neuro-overheating, unlock story branches, and start new runs with permanent upgrades.

AI and tools: OpenAI Codex + Phaser 4 + TypeScript + Vite. Effects — GLSL, sound — Web Audio API. Hosting — Vercel.

Controls

Click or hold the core; on a computer, you can hold the spacebar. Buy equipment in Hardware and develop skills in Runners. Watch Heat and Saturation: cool the system with the Cryo-Vent button, use Suppress, or disconnect the Uplink. Sound is on.

How I made the game

I wanted to create a clicker where increasing power comes at a price: intense hacking overheats the netrunner's neural network and threatens loss of control. I provided Codex with the concept, mechanics description, and SVG resources, and it implemented the logic, interface, story branches, progression tree, and synthesized sound. The most interesting part was combining automation with risk management. The game was tested in a browser and with automated tests.
